Product Description
In New York City in 2059, someone is pursuing missing gems from a decades-old heist…someone who’s willing to kill for them. Sharp-witted and sexy, NYPSD Lieutenant Eve Dallas is used to traveling in the shadowy corners outside the law. And in a future where crime meets cutting-edge technology, she will attempt to track down the diamonds once and for all—and stop the danger and death that have surrounded the jewels for years.

5 out of 5 stars Love JD Robb   March 4, 2010

Loved this book, but I loved it the first time I bought it when it was called "Rember When". It came out the first time with a book from Nora Roberts attached called Hot Rocks. Nora and JD are the same author and i love everything she writes. Was not happy to pop open the book this weekend home sick in bed to find out I had bought a book i already read and had in my library. I will continue to buy everything JD Robb puts out I love all her character and love Eve Dallas. I have every book out that JD robb has written (some autographe, true fan) and have read them at least 3 times, even once in order, but I was not happy to get excited by another book with Eve Dallas as a charter and its not part of the death series... had me intrigued. But lo and behold it was a death series book and had been released before under a different name. BUMMER... have I been soured? NO... but not happy to have been decieved...Shame on her publisher....

I also would have bought this book. Thank you to all of you who warned this is a reprint.

I love Nora's books and can read them over and over again. Luckily for me because she is bringing books out now in her 'Night Series' that I have read before a couple of years ago. If the books are 're-prints' I wish they would say so because I'm tired of getting excited about a new book from Nora just to find out after I wasted the money buying it again that I have already read it and have several copies of it already.

5 out of 5 stars glad to find this Eve Dallas story   March 29, 2010
3rdpaw (Austin, Texas USA)
I was glad to find this story. I don't buy collections of short stories often, and therefore, had missed this story and am glad they put in a book by itself. I knew there had been a story about a diamond heist but hadn't been able to find it as the title doesn't follow the rest of the series' naming convention. Just wish it was in hardcover as I re-read series periodically, like to read the novels in order, and hardcover lasts better than paperback. I'm going to have to figure out where this one fits between other In Death novels. I hope the next novel, after Fantasy In Death, puts this novel in the In Death list on the fly leaf, though I know the publishers haven't done this for three novellas that I own in slim paperback editions (Interlude In Death and Midnight in Death are 2 of the 3).
